The Woodmark Group Member Hospitals

Members and Membership Criteria

In establishing criteria for membership in The Woodmark Group, the organization’s leaders turned to philanthropic research to identify the characteristics of children’s hospitals that raise the most money. These characteristics form the foundation of Woodmark’s membership criteria. Members are:

  • Children’s hospitals that are independent or self-governing or the foundations of children’s hospitals that are independent or functionally independent.
  • Not-for-profit organizations.
  • Operating with a clear and distinct philanthropic brand focused on one children’s hospital or children’s health system.
  • Affiliated with an academic medical center that is engaged in research to advance pediatric treatments and cures.
  • Achieving sustained excellence in the development function as indicated by metrics established by The Woodmark Group.
